People management is also a non-negotiable skill because project managers interact with so many stakeholders to get things moving and if they can’t influence the people they are in charge of and work with, things can’t move along. For the Clinical Research Associate (CRA) role, essential skills include attention to details (active listening) and effective communication skills, which again are part of people skills, because they are constantly interacting with various hospital staff, and sponsor.
